Most of us are familiar with the phrase, This is My South. Even more of us have heard of the thought that we are all connected by six or fewer degrees of circumstance or acquaintance. If you are looking for a Realtor with whom you can feel connected, search no further.
I was born and raised in this area! Except for a ten-year period working for the State of Georgia Board of Regents, I have called Jefferson and Shelby Counties HOME! Personally when I needed a Realtor (prior to earning my license), I looked for someone who shared a common bond or link. It should be fairly easy for you to discover a common link with me.
Just a few years after Alabama achieved Statehood my paternal ancestors moved to the wiregrass region of Alabama from Carolina. They quickly moved into the north central part of the state where a small southern town called Birmingham was in its infancy. Meanwhile my maternal ancestors were journeying from Virginia through Tennessee into northern Alabama. So if your family tree includes any of the early settlers of Alabama, then we are probably connected.
If you grew up in a typical southern church where everyone knew you, swam and paddled in a creek or river, thought football was the only sport, loved your family, and remember special Sunday lunches, then we are probably connected.
If you attended Jefferson County Schools, Homewood City Schools, Samford University, Georgia State University, University of West Georgia, University of Alabama at Birmingham, or Shelby County Schools, then we are probably connected.
If you were involved in a social Greek letter organization in the South during the eighties or nineties, then we are probably connected.
If you love the natural beauty and biodiversity of this great state that makes it one of the top states in the country when it comes to forestlands, lakes and rivers, plants and animals, then we are probably connected.
If you have been searching for that special Realtor who will treat you like family and will do their best to find that perfect place for you and/or your family, then we SHOULD BE connected!
